Middle Level Review
The Board of Regents, at its May 2005 meeting, adopted amendments to Sections 100.3 and 100.4 of the Commissioner’s Regulations. The amendments implement the three-model middle-level strategy to implement the Regents Policy Statement on Middle-Level Education adopted by the Regents in February. The three-model strategy provides a continuum of options based upon the need and capacity of a district and a school to adapt its curriculum and instructional practices.
The Board have now added details and application materials for those districts planning to implement a Model B or Models C-1 or C-2 strategies in September 2006.
